Community Harvest of Southwest Seattle
Sharing from our hearts and our gardens

Our Mission
Community Harvest of Southwest Seattle reduces hunger by increasing access to fresh fruits and vegetables for our neighbors in West Seattle and White Center. Through our programs we create stronger connections and a healthier community.

What We Do
In 2007, Community Harvest began as a small group of neighbors who joined together to harvest surplus fruit for donation to the local food banks. We have grown to become a 501(c)3 non-profit, active in our community. Our work includes:
  • Making use of our local abundance by mobilizing volunteers to harvest surplus fruit for donation to the food banks
  • Encouraging self-sufficiency by providing classes and other educational events to faciliate growing food
  • Supporting ways in which community members can share home-grown vegetable produce which each other
  • Hosting garden related events which build a more connected, vibrant community
Your support is important to the ongoing success of our work.
